Story: Pradeep (Pradeep Ranganathan) is working in the software company. He loves his colleague Nikita (Ivana) and enjoys life happily. They decide to take their relationship to the next level. They approach Nikita’s father (Satyaraj) and he puts a crazy condition. He asks the couple to exchange their phones for a day. It follows is a hilarious and emotional sequence of events that puts their lives in misery. What happens next in their lives form rest of the story.

Performance – Although this is director cum hero Pradeep Ranganadhan’ first film as a lead role, his ease and maturity as an actor in dialogue delivery are superb. Ivana is not only beautiful but also impressive in her performance skills. She is amazing in the emotional scenes of the film. She was just amazing in the emotional scenes of the film. The message showcased is quite relevant and how social media can be dangerous is shown well. Her cute expressions are another plus point for her. Sathyaraj plays a typical father role and he gives a lot of depth to the film with his upbeat performance. Radhika impresses with her screen presence in a typical mother role. Yogi Babu impresses everyone by his comedy.
Technical: The story written by Pradeep Ranganadh is the biggest plus points of the movie Love Today. The very simple concept of phone exchange is handled by interesting manner. The screenplay is commendable. The makers try to show how present generation relationships are, how messages on social media bother girls, the way boys approach girls on social media, and the director becomes successful to execute it. It must be said that Pradeep Ranganadhan has achieved great success as a protagonist, director and storyteller. Cinematography, sound design are all done perfectly. Yuvan Shankar Raja’ background music for emotional & love episodes are a special attraction.
Analysis: The film message showcased how social media can be dangerous is shown well. The first half is loaded with comic scenes. The usage of new social apps, whatsapp and what kind of issues they can cause between the lead actors has been shown in a hilarious manner.
