Sirivennela Seetharamasastry  passed away: Telugu lyricist Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry, who was admitted to private hospital,  where he was undergoing treatment for a lung infection, passed away today. Born in Anakapalle in 1955, the lyricist left his medical education to enter the film industry and pen songs. Before entering the film industry, Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry would reportedly pen poems under the name Bharani.  He made his debut as a lyricist with Janani Janmabhoomi in  the year 1984. He rose to fame with the song “Vidhatha Thalapuna” in K Viswanath directorial Sirivennela  in 1986.  He has penned many a famous and meaningful number in Tollywood, received the Padma Shri from President Ram Nath Kovind at the Rashtrapati Bhavan recently.

Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry  who was diagnosed with pneumonia , admitted to the ICU of KIMS Hospital in Secunderabad on 24th November.

Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry  has penned songs for movies such as Shrutilayalu, Gaayam, Sindhooram, Nuvve Kavali, Swati Kiranam, Swayamkrushi, Swarna Kamalam, Kshana Kshanam, Okkadu, Varsham and Gamyam among others.

Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry ‘most recent work was for the movies  Rajamouli’ RRR,  Krish’ Konda Polam and  Venkatesh’ Narappa movies.
