MAA Elections: Anasuya warns, I will approach court

It is known that actress turned  Anasuya Bharadwaj was in the  shock when she was first declared a winner and then a loser the following day in the MAA elections.   Anasuya, who had contested in the elections to become a Member of the Executive Council, raised questions about the integrity of the counting procedure after losing the polls. Incidentally, she was shown to be leading by a big margin on Sunday and some Telugu television channels had even declared her as the winner. However, when the final tally of votes were counted, it turned out that Anasuya had lost the election.

After the defeat, Anasuya Bharadwaj took to her Twitter and said, “Yesterday they said Anasuya got a huge majority and now they are saying ‘lost’. What happened overnight? To count just 600 votes polled, what’s the need to postpone counting by a day? I don’t understand the logic.”

Yesterday, addressing the media, Anasuya Bharadwaj warned that she will approach court if her name is dragged unnecessarily in unwanted controversies by opposition panel members. She concluded it by saying  that she is not keen on her name getting involved in murky controversies and lies.

On the other side, 11 members from Prakash Raj’ panel who won the MAA elections, have resigned.
