It is known that last week, Samantha Ruth Prabhu filed defamation cases against a few YouTube channels which spread false and derogatory rumors on her personal life. According to Rangasthalam actress, few YouTube channels used highly offensive thumbnails and spread false information about her personal life. The actress was subject to trolling by many content creators, post her divorce from Akkineni Naga Chaitanya. Finally MAA president Manchu Vishnu came in the support of Samantha but indirectly.
Manchu Vishnu has lashed out at some YouTube channels for peddling rumors on Telugu actors, especially the female actors. During a meeting over the recent happenings in the film industry, a few members of MAA had raised this topic of actors of the film industry being a soft target for YouTube channels.
Manchu Vishnu said: We won’t tolerate the objectionable approach of the YouTube channels henceforth. If they spread misinformation about Telugu actresses and use derogatory thumbnails, then such content providers have to face legal issues in the future. This is an action that I would take as part of our agenda on behalf of MAA.
Manchu Vishnu concluded it by saying that soon Maa will form a legal cell to counter these YouTube channels that are stooping to new lows for viewership.
