Deputy Commissioner of Police, M Harsh Wardhan said a complaint was received at Uttam Nagar police station on 25th June. According to the police, they have registered a case under section 376 (Punishment for r*pe) and 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.
DCP revealed that they are investigating the allegations levelled by the victim woman.
On the otherside, PP Madhavan 71, said he had no knowledge of the FIR. And added, “I reserve my rights to lawfully contest FIR against me and also to take recourse to available legal remedies against false and malicious complaint which has been filed against me.”
PP Madhavan added that It is a baseless allegation just to defame his Congress party and it is a complete conspiracy.
The reports are coming that the complainant is a Delhi resident and she claims her husband, who died in the year 2020, used to work in the Congress office. She lodged a complaint accusing PP Madhavan of r…ing and harassing her on several occasions on the pretext of offering her a job and marrying her.
