Mahanati Collections: Mahanati – the biopic of legendary South Indian actress Savitri, starring Keerthy Suresh, Dulquer Salmaan, Samantha Akkineni and Vijay Deverakonda, helmed by Nag Ashwin of Yevade Subramanyam fame, is running successfully at the box office and according to the traders report, Mahanati has earned Rs 30.35 Cr at worldwide box office after the successful run of 12 days.

Ever since Mahanati release on 9th May, the film has been doing good business both in India and overseas. Receiving good response from critics and audience alike, good word of mouth too is expected to have boosted ticket sales for Savitri biopic Mahanati. The Tamil version of Mahanati titled ‘Nadigaiyar Thilagam’ was released on 11th May 2018.
Mahanati has emerged as the fourth blockbuster of this summer season in Tollywood. Keerthy Suresh played the role of Savitri and her pitch-perfect performance has earned her praise from all quarters. Gemini Ganesan essayed Savitri’s husband in Mahanati. Ashwin is very happy he made a biopic, and a film Mahanati on such a lavish scale so early on in his career. Mahanati is jointly produced by C. Ashwini Dutt, Swapna Dutt and Priyanka Dutt under the banners of Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema. Mickey J Meyer has composed the music of Mahanati.
Mahanati has been praised for its inspiring story on Savitri, for Nag Ashwin’s commendable effort and for the performances of its cast. Mahanti has crossed $2.5 million mark at the US Box office, thus becoming the highest grossing women-centric film down south.
