Nag Ashwin, the director of Mahanati, a biopic of South Indian actress Savitri, has turned producer and his first production venture is Jaathi Ratnalu. Yesterday the makers released the first look poster of the film that featured Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya fame Naveen Polishetty, Priyadarshi, and Rahul Ramakrishna as prisoners. According to the latest update, the makers have also roped Manohar to handle the cinematography of this upcoming comedy entertainer Jaathi Ratnalu.
Earlier Manohar has worked with Nag Ashwin for the movie Mahanati in which Keerthy Suresh played the titular role and made her screen presence in the role of South Indian legendary actress Savitri. Manohar has worked as the assistant cameraman for Mahanati and now he has got the opportunity as DOP for this upcoming film Jaathi Ratnalu.
Coming on the first look poster of Jaathi Ratnalu, Naveen, Priyadarshi, and Rahul Ramakrishna are seen in prisoners’ uniforms with numbers 420, 210 and 840 respectively.
According to the makers, “It’s a crazy combination and the film Jaathi Ratnalu is an out-and-out entertainer.” About 75% of the shoot has been already wrapped up and the makers are planning to complete the entire shoot by the end of this year.
On the other side, currently, Naveen Polishetty is basking in the glory of Bollywood movie Chhichhore, whereas Rahul and Priyadarshi have received a lot of applause for their performances in Brochevarevarura. Now the trio Naveen Polishetty, Rahul Ramakrishna and Priyadarshi are coming together for this upcoming film Jaathi Ratnalu, which is said to be a comedy entertainer.
Apart from them, the film also has Murali Sharma, Tanikella Bharani, Vennela Kishore, and VK Naresh in the supporting roles. Helmed by Anudeep KV of ‘Pittagoda’ fame, the film Jaathi Ratnalu has the music by Radhan whereas Manohar is handling the cinematography. The movie is presented by Swapna Cinema in association with Harsha Garapati.
