Rakshita made her debut in Telugu film Industry with Mahesh Babu starrer Nijam, directed by Teja in 2003. After Nijam, she was also seen in few Telugu movies such as Shivamani, Jagapathi, Lakshmi Narasimha and Andhrawala. Rakshita was the heartthrob of many youngsters during her hay days in movies and now her new look is giving shock to everyone.
Rakshita is a changed person today. She was seen in a totally new avatar in a valentine’s day event. The actress Rakshita gained too much weight and almost unrecognizable.
Rakshita started her career with the Kannada movie Appu starring Puneeth Rajkumar. She was also part of the remake of the same movie in Telugu titled Idiot and in the Tamil film titled Dum. alongside Silambarasan. She has shared the screen space with big-time heroes such as Vishnuvardhan, Ravichandran, Megastar Chiranjeevi, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR, Jagapathi Babu and Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja.
Rakshita tied the knot with a Kannada film director Prem in 2007 and said goodbye to the film industry. Though she acted as a judge for a few TV shows.
