Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu, Pooja Hegde, Namrata Shirodkar, and others celebrated Maharshi as it won the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment at 67th National Film Awards. Mahesh Babu is on the ninth cloud as his movie won the National award.
Maharshi star Mahesh Babu penned a heartfelt note and also thanked the movie lovers by saying, “ National film awards! humbled to have received this prestigious recognition!! Maharshi will always remain special for me. Proud of director Vamsi Paidipally for bringing a socially relevant story to light. Big thank to the jury, the entire team of Maharshi movie and our audience.”
Mahesh Babu’ wife Namrata Shirodkar is also very happy and dropped heart emotions in the comment section of the post and said, “celebrations are in order.”
Sharwanand and Sudheer Babu congratulated the team of the movie Maharshi. Natural star Nani and Shraddha Srinath starrer sport based film Jersey also won the best Telugu film and best editing award at the 67th National Film Awards.
On the work front, Mahesh Babu will be seen playing the lead role in Sarkaru Vaari Paata which also stars Keerthy Suresh in the female lead role. The movie is being helmed by Parasuram who is known for making Geetha Govindam.
