If ongoing buzz in the media and the film industry are to be believed, Telugu Superstar Mahesh Babu will be seen playing the role of Lord Ram and Deepika Padukone in the role of goddess Sita in Ramayana 3D which will be produced by senior filmmaker Madhu Mantena. Ramayana 3D will be directed by Nitesh Tiwari who earlier helmed films like Dangal and Chhichhore
Madhu Mantena is gearing up to make the epic Ramayana in 3D format and Deepika Padukone has been roped in to essay goddess Sita. And now according to the latest gossip, the makers are planning to bring Mahesh Babu to play Lord Ram because Madhu Mantena believes that he has that innocence required to play the epic character. Reportedly, the producer wanted to have Young Rebel Star Prabhas playing the lead role earlier in Ramayana 3D. However as the project was taking time, Prabhas came on board to play Ram in Om Raut’ directorial venture Adipurush.
The sources say that Madhu Mantena got the biggest shock when Om Raut of Tanhaji fame announced Adipurush with Prabhas. Madhu immediately got his team and financiers to bankroll his Ramayana 3D.
Meanwhile Mahesh Babu is currently working for his upcoming film Sarkaru Vaari Paata, based on a bank scam and it has Keerthy Suresh as the leading lady.
