VVS Laxman (often VVS, and sometimes as “Very Very Special”) is a former Indian cricketer and currently a cricket commentator. The retirement of VVS Laxman was a mystery. He retired from international cricket in 2012 and retirement stirred a controversy as everyone blamed MS Dhoni for it.
VVS Laxman was an aggressive right-hand batsman who played mostly in lower middle order. The player is known for his numerous match-winning and match-saving innings, and his special ability to consolidate unprecedented support from non-specialist tail-end batsmen to do this has accorded him a unique status among cricketing legends. Recently during the lunch event of a book ‘281 and Beyond’, he revealed that few directors approached him for making a biopic but as he is fan of Mahesh Babu, said that he wanted Superstar Mahesh Babu to play his role in his biopic.
VVS Laxman further said, “I Know that Sudheer Babu- brother-in-law of Mahesh Babu will be seen playing the role of badminton player Pullela Gopichand and I want only Mahesh Babu.” Now we have to wait whether Mahesh Babu will fulfill the desire of Hyderabadi batsman by giving his nod to reprise the role of VVS Laxman in the biopic or not.
On the work-side, Mahesh Babu is currently working with Vamsi Paidipally for his next upcoming film Maharshi, in which Pooja Hegde will be seen playing female lead. Currently the shoot is going on at brisk pace. It has also come out that Mahesh Babu is joining hands with Baahubali film maker SS Rajamouli for an upcoming bilingual Telugu-Hindi project.
After wrapping up the shoot of Maharshi, Mahesh Babu will start the work for Sukumar’s directorial venture, which will be bankrolled by Mythri Movie makers.
