Super Star Mahesh Babu though is a commercial hero, he tends to go out of the way few times and try something new. He has an image barrier to cross and try something out of the box. But in his own limitations, Mahesh is always open to new kinds of scripts. We can see such types in films like Takkaridonga, 1 Nenokkadine, Khaleja, Nijam, Nani, etc., Though most of the time he has faced bitter results, that doesn’t stop him from taking up something new. From the past few flicks, Mahesh is being seen in good samaritan kind of roles. Right from Srimanthudu it has started and continued till Maharshi. Mahesh is currently playing a lead role in Sarileru Nekevvaru in which he will be seen as an army major and in few scenes a factionist. By hearing from close sources of the film unit it is not a new story but being treated in a funny way. Mahesh fans are wanting him to see in a completely new character.

On the other hand, Mahesh is a serious movie buff and watches movies regularly. He made a habit of praising the film if he likes it. Recently we have seen Mahesh praising Asuran which starred Dhanush in the lead role. Now, its time for another Tamil movie which he liked. Recently Karthi starrer Khaidi is taking all the limelight with its new-age film making and terrific performances and stellar technical work. Director of the film Lokesh Kanagaraj gets appreciation from all corners. Today, Mahesh watched Khaidi and praised people who are behind this brilliant movie. He termed Khaidi as a welcome change to the cinema. He praised the action sequences as thrilling and said the script is gripping. Overall, he conveyed congratulations to the entire team of Khaidi.

Now, that Mahesh is praising a film with no songs. Can we see Mahesh in such an author-backed role? Well, only time will answer.
