There was much hype about the Baahubali film being made into a series for a OTT platform. The series titled Baahubali: Before the Beginning was going to be a prequel to the events happening in the movie- SS Rajamouli’ directorial ventures. A while back, Netflix scrapped the project Baahubali: Before the Beginning after watching the final cut and called for a reshoot.
A new direction and production team was assigned for the revamped version of this series. Now according to the latest report, the Baahubali web series is facing another major hurdle now. Mrunal Thakur who was supposed to play the role of a young Sivagami, has walked out from Baahubali: Before the Beginning .
Mrunal Thakur is currently busy in Bollywood with multiple offers. And she is not able to allot bulk of her time on Baahubali web series while the actress is being approached by Bollywood filmmakers with exciting offers. Now the makers of Baahubali: Before the beginning web series are in the hunt of another Bollywood actress to replace Mrunal Thakur.
On the otherside, currently Mrunal Thakur is shooting in the valley for yet-untitled Telugu movie opposite Dulquer Salmaan, under the direction of Hanu Raghavapudi. This upcoming film is a romantic period drama in which Dulquer Salmaan is playing the role of an army officer named Lieutenant Ram.
