Malavika Mohanan, the daughter of cinematographer KU Mohanan, is currently waiting for the release of her upcoming movie Master in which Vijay is playing the lead role. Recently, a fan made cartoon of the upcoming action entertainer Master surfaced on social media.
A fan had shared an illustration depicting the team of Master inside a house during the lockdown, indulging in various recreational activities. While the men in the team, including Vijay, Vijay Sethupathi, Arjun Das, director Lokesh Kanagaraj and music director Anirudh Ravichander, were shown listening to music, playing the games and browsing online whereas Malavika Mohanan was portrayed as cooking in the kitchen.
Malavika Mohanan decided to share it on her microblogging page. However, in no time the actress was trolled over her comment on the illustration. Malavika Mohanan had written, “The task of a woman in a hypothetical “movie house” is to cook? When will gender roles die?” Malavika Mohanan pointed out the s*xism in it. Her tweet didn’t go down well with the fans of Vijay. They started to troll her. Though the actress deleted the tweet after trolls, but her tweet had gone viral already.
Vijay and Malavika Mohanan starrer much-awaited Master was scheduled to hit the theatres on 9th April. However, due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, the release has been postponed.
