Samantha Akkineni, the daughter-in-law of Akkineni Nagarjuna is one of the most talented actresses of the South Indian Film Industry. She tied the knot with Akkineni Naga Chaitanya in 2017 in Goa.
Before the marriage, Samantha used to sign the lead roles opposite the star heroes in commercial entertainer in both Tamil and Telugu languages but post the wedding, she has become very choosy and trying to sign only female-centric and performance-oriented movies. Recently in an interview, Naga Chaitanya revealed the secret why Samantha has been signing only a few commercial movies.
Naga Chaitanya said, “ Samantha’ career plans have been changed post the wedding and now she wants to act in experiment performance-oriented roles and subject.
Naga Chaitanya added, “Samantha Akkineni is also giving more importance to quality over quantity.”
Samantha was last seen in Nandini Reddy’ directorial venture Oh Baby, the remake of Korean movie- in which Naga Shourya played the lead role and the movie was a decent hit at the box office. She will be seen romancing with young actor Sharwanand in 96 remakes, which is progressing at the brisk pace.
Recently it was heard that Samantha wants to act in PV Sindhu biopic, but she has refuted the rumor.
