It is known that in the month of February, SS Rajamouli, Koratala Siva, Prabhas and superstars Chiranjeevi along with Mahesh Babu met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to discuss the ticket price issue. AP Government introduced the fixed ticket price system on 8th April, 2021 in the Government Order (GO) 35. The fixed price made it mandatory for all the multiplexes, AC and Non AC theatres. The Telugu actor Manchu Vishnu Manchu Vishnu who has completed six months as the president of the Movie Artists Association, made comments on the ticket prices hike issue, which has become the topic of discussion in the film industry.
MAA president, Manchu Vishnu said, “The government did a good thing as they allowed the film makers to increase the ticket prices but it’s up to the film makers to decide.”
It is known that till date he was silent on the issue. He added, “The People criticized me when I did not react on the movie ticket price issue. Now the people are saying they are facing problems with the high ticket rates. Since the two state governments are supporting the film industry, everyone should have a healthy debate on whether the hike in ticket rates is necessary or not.
