Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala who has acted in few Telugu movies such as Criminal and Nagaram, shows support for Nepal’ controversial new map, earns flak from Indians on Twitter. The netizens are trolling Manisha Koirala for showing support towards the controversial new Nepalese map. The new map released by Nepal shows areas such as Lipulekh Kalapani and Limpiyadhura, all disputed areas, under its territory.
The new map was released by Nepal’ Land Reforms Minister Padma Aryal during a televised press conference in Kathmandu.
Swaraj Kaushal, the criminal lawyer and husband of former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, responded to Manisha Koirala in a series of tweets after the actress favourable reaction to Nepal’s new political map amid its border dispute with India
On 20th May, India strongly rejected Nepal’ decision to issue a revised map. India said such artificial enlargement of territorial claims by Nepal will not be acceptable to it and asked the neighboring country to refrain from “unjustified cartographic assertion”.
External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Anurag Srivastava asked Nepal to respect India’ sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Manisha Koirala is a Nepali national. She has worked in Hindi film Industry for almost 30 years in films such as Dil Se, Gupt, Bombay and others. She was last seen in Netflix film Maska.
