Manjima Mohan about #Metoo: It makes blood boil

Manjima Mohan, who made her Telugu debut in Gautham Menon‘s Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo, went on to act in few handfuls of films like NTR Kathanayakudu.  Recently during the media interaction, Manjima Mohan opened up about the #MeToo Movement. The actress said, “Some allegations are believable and some allegations are not believable. But when you hear them, it makes your blood boil.”

Manjima Mohan also revealed that she did not face sexual harassment in the film Industry.  Not only this, she also said that she had never heard about such instances.

Manjima Mohan further added, “I really don’t know. Never had a #Metoo moment. Some of them were valid, some were not and some made use of that tag. I have not heard or experienced it. It did create a lot of turbulence at that time.”

The entire film industry is currently buzzing about the casting couch issue. It is known news that number of celebrities from Telugu and Tamil film Industry have come forward to reveal their sexual harassment/Casting Couch/#metoo story. In Tollywood Sri Reddy is fighting against Casting Couch and she has also reveled several names like Natural Star Nani, AR Murugadoss, VV Vinayak, Abhiram Daggubati, Raghava Lawrence and others, who asked her for sexual favour. in Tamil, lyricist Vairamuthu, director Susi Ganesan and actor Radha Ravi faced allegations of sexual harassment.

On the work-wide, Manjima Mohan will next be seen in Malayalam movie Zam Zam, the remake of Hindi blockbuster Queen starring Kangana Ranaut.

In the NTR biopic, Manjima Mohan played  Bhuvaneshwari, NTR’s daughter whereas Nandamuri Balakrishna played the role of legendary actor Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao.

Manjima Mohan is also waiting for the release of NTR biopic’s  second part NTR Mahanayakudu.
