Former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh was admitted to AIIMS- All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi under observation at cardio-thoracic ward, on 10th May evening after he complained of uneasiness.

 A Source close to Manmohan Singh revealed, “All his parameters are fine and he is under observation at the AIIMS- All India Institute of Medical Sciences.” Manmohan Singh was admitted under Dr Nitish Naik, who is a professor of cardiology at AIIMS.

The hospital source said Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was admitted in a ward at the cardio-neurosciences tower at about 8.45 pm on Sunday. Mr Singh  was brought late in the evening, and has been admitted. Former PM is stable and currently under observation with specialists examining him.

Manmohan Singh is a senior leader of the opposition Congress and is currently a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha from Rajasthan.

There was no official statement by AIIMS on Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s admission to the hospital. However the former CM office said, “Manmohan Singh was taken to the hospital as he had fever due to the side-effect of the medication.”

Congress Leaders, Rahul Gandhi and  Sonia Gandhi also enquired about the health of Manmohan  Singh who joined the Congress and served as PM for two terms.
