The Mediterranean dieters emphasize a plant-based eating approach loaded with the vegetables and healthy fats, including  the olive oil and omega-3 fatty acids from fish. It’s a diet known for being heart-healthy.

The Mediterranean dieters is rich in the  fruits and vegetables, whole grains, seafood, nuts and legumes, and olive oil.  This  diet involves having seafood and fish at least twice a week with eggs, poultry, cheese and yoghurt in moderation.

The sweets and red meats are observed as occasional treats. Besides this, an occasional glass of wine is acceptable.
