Mega Bahu Upasana Kamineni Konidela, the wife of Mega Power Star Ramcharan, won the prestigious Mahatma Gandhi Award for leadership in Corporate Social Responsibility. Upasana thanked to everyone for Mahatma Gandhi Award. Now Mega fans are celebrating this occasion.
Upasana Kamineni Konidela is the grand-daughter of Dr Prathap C Reddy, founder-chairman of Apollo Hospitals, heads its charity arm Apollo Life and she is editor of B Positive, a medical and lifestyle magazine. Mega Babu Upasana also started Apollo M.I.N.D.Line, a telecounselling psychology helpline service.
Earlier in an interview, Upasana has said, “I was interested in fashion world and wanted to start my own business. But I realized I loved shopping more than designing.” When she was asked about her inspiration? She replied: Mother Shobana and father Anil.
Upasana Kamineni Konidela has carved a niche for herself in healthcare division. She is also heading the charity initiatives of Apollo Hospitals Group.
Upasana is into awareness building campaign on cervical cancer. Her ceaseless efforts on social initiatives include saving a Child’ Heart Initiative, Society of Aid the Hearing Impaired etc.
On the otherside, Ram Charan is currently busy in the promotional activities of Chiranjeevi starrer Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, which was released on 2nd October.
