Varun Tej and Raashi Khanna starrer recently released romantic entertainer ‘Tholi Prema’, directed by Venky Atluri and produced by B. V. S. N. Prasad is doing decent collections at the box office. The film which was released yesterday, opened to rave review. According to the latest report, initially the makers wanted to rope Mehreen Kaur Pirzada to play the role of Varsha in Tholi Prema, which is played by Raashi Khanna. But Punjabi Kudi Mehreen gained her weight after Sharwanand’s Mahanubhavudu and she couldn’t fit for the requirements of Varsha’s role in Tholi Prema. So Venky Atluri dropped the idea and finally approached Raashi Khanna. Her performance grabbed several eyeballs and her chemistry with Varun Tej also received lot of applause by the movie lovers. Especially in emotional scenes, she acted equally well on par with Varun Tej.
Though Mehreen has also delivered several hit movies like Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha and Raja The Great but her recently released C/O Surya and Jawaan disappointed the audiences. And finally she lost this golden opportunity.
