YSRCP has won all 4 seats in AP Local Bodies Quota MLC Elections.
The counting of votes for the recently held Graduate MLC elections in Telugu states is going on. YCP won the local quota elections in Srikakulam and West Godavari districts of AP. YSRCP candidate Narthu Rama Rao won in Srikakulam. A total of 752 representatives of local bodies voted while Rama Rao got 632 votes. Independent candidate Anepu Ramakrishna got 108 votes. Anepu is supported by the Telugu Desam. Another 12 votes were invalid.
YSRCP candidate Dr Madhusudhan scored victory in the Kurnool local authorities constituency polls.YSRCP candidate Dr Madhusudhan secured the majority of 988 votes.
Also, YSRCP candidates Kavuru Srinivas and Vanka Rabindranath won both MLC seats in West Godavari district. 5 seats in Chittoor district are already unanimous. Counting of election votes for other seats in AP including Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahabubnagar Upadhyay MLC seat in Telangana is going on. Police have made tight security at the centers. Currently, the results of local body quota elections are being revealed. After that, the results of the graduates and Upadhyaya MLC elections will be announced.
Election officials have announced that 5 seats belonging to Anantapur, Kadapa, Nellore, East Godavari and Chittoor districts have already been unanimously approved for the constituencies of local bodies.
