Vishnu Manchu has acquired the remake rights of Malayalam film Android Kunjappan Ver 5.25 for his father Mohan Babu.
Android Kunjappan Ver 5.25 is a science fiction comedy-drama film written and directed by Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval and produced by Santhosh T Kuruvilla, and starring Suraj Venjaramoodu, Sooraj Thelakkad, Soubin Shahir, Kendy Zirdo, and Saiju Kurup. The music was composed by Bijibal. In the plot, Subrahmannyan (Soubin) goes to Russia for work, leaving his old-age father Bhaskaran Poduval (Suraj) with an Android robot called Kunjappan (Sooraj) to take care of him. Poduval, however, hates the idea. The movie was released on 8 November 2019. It received critical acclaim and was one of the commercially successful Malayalam films released in the year. It also won three Kerala State Film Awards including Best Actor award for Suraj.
The sources say that Mohan Babu and Manchu Vishnu were fascinated with the story of Android Kunjappan Ver 5.25 and they have decided to join hands as an actor and producer. The film is expected to go on the floors later this year.
The reports are coming that Manchu Vishnu is planning to cast a young hero to reprise Soubin Shahir’s role.
On the otherside, Manchu Vishnu will be seen playing the lead role in Ginna which has Sunny Leone and Payal Rajput.
