Mohanlal, the Malayalam Superstar fired on a journalist when he asked him to share his opinion on the nun abuse issue. The incident took place on Saturday when Mohanlal was at Wellington Island in Kochi for some flood relief activities, which was organized by the ViswaSanthi Foundation, a not-for profit organization, run by actor.
Irritated Mohanlal declined to make any comment on the nuns’ protest demanding arrest of bishop Franco Mulakkal and said, “Aren’t you ashamed to ask me such type of unnecessary question? Some important things are going on here, what is the relation between this and the nun abuse? You can ask something else, which is related to flood relief activities. Such a grave disaster has happened here. When I am saying something nice, you are asking me about nun issue. What should the nuns do? What is the relation between this and that?” Later Mohanlal refused to address the media and walked away from there.
Mohanlal is also the president of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA).
It is known news that the sisters (nuns) from the Kuravilangad Convent started protesting near the Kochi High Court and demanding the arrest of the Jalandhar Bishop, James Franco Mulakkal, who is accused of raping a nun and also happens to be her colleague. Number of celebrities, activists, politicians and many spoke about the same.
Recently Bollywood Mast Mast girl Raveen Tandon reacted to Kerela MLA PC George who has called the nun who was allegedly raped by the Catholic Bishop a prostitute. She wrote on her Twitter, ” Can the Commision for women please look into this? @Manekagandhibjp this is clear intimidation of a victim, to suppress her voice. Can a case be filed against this man? (sic).”
Meanwhile, Janatha Garage star Mohanlal is currently busy in his upcoming Untitled project with K. V. Anand.
