Mahesh Babu starrer Maharshi is currently progressing at brisk pace in the direction of Oopiri fame Vamsi Paidipally. Till date,  the makers did not open up about the actor, who is playing the main villain in this much awaited big budget drama. Now according to the latest buzz, veteran actor Sai Kumar will be seen playing the role of antagonist in Mahesh Babu starrer Maharshi. Earlier Sai Kumar has worked with Vamsi Paidiplally in Yedadu in which Ram Charan played the lead role. Vamsi felt that Sai Kumar was the most unexpected person to play the role of villain.

Allari Naresh will be seen playing Mahesh Babu’s best friend whereas Pooja Hegde is playing the female lead in Maharshi, which is being bankrolled by Dil Raju, Ashwini Dutt and PVP. The film has the music by sensational music composer Devi Sri Prasad.

Sai Kumar started his career at an early age of his life as a dubbing child artist. His father, P. J. Sarma was a leading dubbing artist. Sai Kumar followed in his father’s footsteps, having dubbed for Suman and Dr Rajasekhar for many of their films. Sai Kumar has exceptional dialogue delivery and Telugu diction clarity in his voice.

Sai Kumar was last seen in Allu Arjun starrer Naa Peru Surya, Naa Illu India, which was released in the month of September, where he played the role of Mustafa.

Sai Kaumar is popular for his negative avatars in Samanyadu, Prasthanam and Yevadu. Now once again, he is playing villain in Mahesh Babu’s Maharshi. The sources close to the film unit reveal that Sai Kumar’s conflict with Mahesh Babu will be one of the major highlight in Maharshi.

Recently the makers erected a grand village set in Ramoji Film City for the shoot. Initially, they planned to shoot the scenes at the real village but later realized they drop the idea and decided to erect a village set in RFC.
