Akhil Akkineni is currently busy in the promotional activities of his upcoming romantic movie Mr Majnu, which is gearing up for grand release tomorrow on 25th January 2019. Recently during the media interaction, Akhil reflects on his past failures and admits that he is single and ready to mingle. Akhil said that his upcoming film Mr Majnu was the perfect genre for him. Director Venky Atluri had narrated the story of Mr Majnu to me before my debut film AKhil, but I had other commitments, so he waited for all this time.”
Akhil Akkineni made his debut with VV Vinayak’s directorial venture Akhil: The Power of Jua, which was turned out disaster at the box office and later he came up with an romantic entertainer Hello in which Kalyani Priyadarshan played the female lead but unfortunately it was also bombed. This time he is pinning lot of hopes on Mr Majnu.
Akkineni Nagarjuna’s younger son Akhil admitted that it takes a long time to win back the trust of the audience. He added, “ Now, I am taking one step at a time and learning slowly. Before starting the shoot of Mr Majnu, I and Venky Atluri sat for a few weeks and analyzed the mistakes I made in my first two movies- Akhil and Hello. Venky gave me a few suggestions about body language, diction and mannerisms which I put into this upcoming film Mr Majnu.“
Akhil also talked about Mr Majnu and said, “Mr Majnu is a modern and passionate lover and he loves to be around girls, they love him too.”
Akhil will be seen playing a playboy turned lover in Mr Majnu in which Nidhhi Agerwal is playing the female lead. The movie is inspired from his grandfather’s Prem Nagar.
Mr Majnu recently went through the censor formalities and the film was awarded a clean U/A certificate by the regional censor board. It is heard that that the censor board appreciated the film widely and it was given U/A for the only reason as it has some intense romantic scenes.
