One of the popular Bollywood music director-singer Wajid Khan passed away today on Monday in Mumbai. He was 42. Wajid Khan was hospitalized at Surana Hospital in Chembur suburb, Mumbai with a kidney infection, which progressively got worse.

Wajid Khan along with brother Sajid made their debut as music directors with Salman Khan starrer film Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya. Later he scored the music for several Salman Khan movies like Hello Brother, Partner, God Tussi Great Ho, Wanted, Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge, Garv, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Main Aurr Mrs Khanna, Veer and Dabangg 1, Dabangg 2, Dabangg 3 etc.   He also scored the theme song for the 4th edition of the Indian Premier League, “Dhoom Dhoom Dhoom Dhadaka”.

Wajid Khan is also popular for crooning the songs- Hud Hud Dabangg, Soni De Nakhre, Jalwa,  and Chinta Ta Ta Chita Chita. Wajid  Khan along with his brother Sajid Khan served as mentors on singing reality shows “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2012” and “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar”.

Few are also saying that Wajid Khan died of the novel coronavirus. Celebrities like Priyanka Chopra, Vishal Dadlani, Harshdeep Kaur, Swara Bhasker, Celina Jaitely and others have taken to social media to offer their condolences.
