Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Akkineni starrer upcoming movie has been launched today morning on 23rd July 2018 with a formal pooja ceremony. Naga Chaitanya’s father Akkineni Nagarjuna is the chief guest of this launch event and he handed over the script of #NC17. The real-life couple Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Akkineni have been paired for the first time post wedding. They will share the screen space under Shiva Nirvana’s second directorial venture and it will be jointly produced by Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi under the banner of Shine Screens banner. The regular shoot will be commenced very soon.
Apart from the lead pair, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Akkineni, #NC17 has other stars like Rao Ramesh, Posani Krishna Murali, Srinivas Avasarala, Sathru, and others in supporting roles. Touted to be romantic entertainer, it would be fourth combination of Naga Chaitanya and Samantha. The couple was last seen together in Telugu film Autonagar Surya, which was released in 2014.The film will have the music by Gopi Sundar.
On 8th March, Naga Chaitanya confirmed the news of #NC17 as he wrote on his twitter, “Happy to announce my next directed by shiva produced by @Shine_Screens and will be sharing screen space (if she gives me any 😉 )with my better half @Samanthaprabhu2 ..feels good to be back to being able to take you through another journey of love.” Samantha Akkineni replied to Naga Chaitanya as she tweeted, “#rollinginglory .. Excited !! Excited!! Excited!!”
Apart from Autonagar Surya, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Akkineni shared the screen space in Ye Maaya Chesave, which released in 2010 and it was their first film together and after this film, they were seen in Akkineni family drama Manam.
Meanwhile, Samantha who gas delivered a series of hit movies this year – Rangasthalam, Irumbu Thira/ Abhimanyudu and Mahanati, is waiting for the release of Seema Raja and Super Deluxe whereas Naga Chaitanya is waiting for the arrival of Savyasachi at the theaters.
