Akkineni Naga Chaitanya is making his debut in Bollywood with an upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha where he is playing the role of an army officer. Aamir Khan and Kaarena Kapoor are playing the lead roles in this film, which is directed by Adavit Chandan. Laal Singh Chaddha is a adaptation of the 1994 American film Forrest Gump which was based on Winston Groom’s 1986 novel of the same name. Though Chaitu was not interested in the Bollywood movie, but Laal Singh Chaddha changed his mind and the reason is none other than Aamir Khan.
During an interview, Naga Chaitanya opened up about Laal Singh Chaddha and said, “Since I started my career in the film industry, my effort has always been to entertain the movie lovers down South. It remains my first love. But growing up, I remember watching the Forrest Gump and loving the film. Never would that little kid have imagined being a part of the adaptation one day.”
Majili actor added, “We shot in extreme weather conditions at Kargil for the 45 days. It was a truly memorable experience.”
On the otherside, Naga Chaitanya will be seen playing the lead role in Vikram K Kumar’ directorial venture Thank You which has Raashi Khanna in the female lead role.
