On Wednesday, the Police arrested young  Telugu actor Naga Shaurya‘s father Shivalinga Prasad in a case relating to gambling at his farmhouse near Hyderabad.  We have already reported that on 31st October, the Special Operations Team (SOT) of the Cyberabad police raided a farmhouse at Manchirevula in Narsingi and arrested 30 people including former MLA Sriram Bhadraiah.  The cop also seized Rs 6.77 lakh in cash, 33 mobile phones, three cars and 29 gambling sets. A case under Telangana Gaming Act was registered at  the Narsingi Police Station under the limits of Cyberabad Police Commissionerate. Barring main accused Gutta Suman Kumar, all others  who were arrested  later released on bail.

Shivalinga Prasad, who had taken the farmhouse on lease from its owner, was arrested for the violation of lease conditions.

The police produced Shivalinga Prasad in a court, and magistrate granted bail to Naga Shaurya’s father.

The main organizer Gutta Suman Kumar took the farmhouse on lease saying that they were organizing a birthday party. The police, who had earlier arrested Gutta Suman Kumar and former Mahabubabad MLA Sriram Bhadraiah, had during investigation found that  Naga Shaurya’ father Shivalinga Prasad had knowledge about the gambling racket. As Shivalinga Prasad was in the know of the illegal activities, he is also named as an accused in the case and he was arrested.
