Akkineni Nagarjuna is currently busy in his upcoming project Manmadhudu 2 which has young diva Rakul Preet Singh is playing the female lead. Recently released teaser of the film has already proved that the film will have number of kissing scenes. Recently in an interview, Nagarjuna spoke about famous climax kissing and how he was worried back then that the emotional kissing scene wouldn’t survive the scrutiny of Censor Board. Nagarjuna talked about Geethanjali which was released in 1989.
Nagarjuna said, “I though that climax kissing scene will be completely removed by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The scene was very much part of the film .”
Geethanjali is all about the story of a young and carefree guy named Prakash, who is diagnosed with terminal cancer. He goes to Ooty and meets a girl named Geethanjali. Both start off on the wrong foot with each other, but later fall in love but Prakash was shocked after hearing that Geethanjali is also dying of the terminal illness. The movie ends with emotional kissing scene, which was one of the major highlight of this film.
Nagarjuna said that before screening he informed his father that there is a long, unbroken kissing scene. After watching the movie, Akkineni Nageswara Rao praised Nagarjuna and said that Kissing scene was the best part of Geethanjali.
