Akkineni Nagarjuna has signed an upcoming film which will be helmed by Salman and  the actor will be seen playing the role of cop. Currently the film is in pre production stage and it is expected that  the upcoming untitled film will go on the floor next year.

Nagarjuna was last seen in romantic and family entertainer movie Manmadhudu 2, in which he shared the screen space with Rakul Preet Singh, but the movie was bombed at the box office and he is taking special care while listening the script. The sources say that Nagarjuna is very happy with the script narrated by new comer Salman and has given his nod. Very soon the official announcement will be made regarding Nagarjuna and Salman’ project.

On the other hand, Nagarjuna is currently  busy with his Bollywood entertainer Brahmastra where he is sharing screen presence with Big B Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor. Nagarjuna is playing the role of an archeologist in Brahmastra, which is being bankrolled by noted producer Karan Johar.  Nagarjuna has already shot for his portions in Varanasi in June. The Manmadhudu 2 actor Nagarjna shot for his portions at Kashi Vishwanath Temple, the Chet Singh Fort and on the banks of Ganga.

Nagarjuna has  played the role of a cop in Shivamani,  directed by Puri Jagannadh and produced under the banner of Vaishno Academy. Again Nagarjuna was seen playing cop in  Ram Gopal Varma’ directorial venture Officer, but it was bombed at the box office. Now once again Nagarjuna is going to play cop for new comer Salman’ directorial venture.

Currently script work is underway and sources close to Salman say that Nagarjuna’ characterization will be completely different in this upcoming untitled film.

Recently it was heard that Nagarjuna is also planning to act in Bangarraju,  in the direction of Kalyan Krishna but till date no any official announcement regarding this film, which will be directed by Kalyan Krishna.
