The actress and producer Dia Mirza recently interacted with media and revealed that when she was stalked when she was young. Kaafir actress Dia Mirza said, “When I was younger, back home in Hyderabad even I faced a stalker. I asked him his name but that moment, he didn’t have an answer. The people should never ignore or be afraid of reporting or calling out a harasser. There is no shame in doing so. It empowers us with the ability to address the problem and more often than not data indicates that it makes a big difference. The harassment does stop.”

Former beauty queen Dia Mirza added, “It renders me speechless to hear how young children also fall prey to most heinous of violence and violations.”

Dia Mirza further added, “No human rights issue can be solved without addressing gender justice and equality. If half of the population is hugely disadvantaged one way or another, how will our country India ever be a superpower? This is not just women’s problem, this is a social problem, it’s an unfolding tragedy.”

On the work front, Dia Mirza will be seen playing the female lead in Telugu film Wild Dog in which Akkineni Nagarjuna is playing the lead role. Currently, the shoot of Wild Dog is going on at the brisk pace in the direction of Solomon and Dia Mirza will be seen essaying Nagarjun’s wife. Apart from Wild Dog, Dia Mirza will also be seen in Anubhav Sinha’ Thappad, so starring Taapsee Pannu and Pavail Gulati.
