 TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh dubbed the just concluded Global Investors Summit in Visakhapatnam as ‘fake local summit.’ He addressed a public meeting at Pileru in Annamayya district during his Yuva Galam Padayatra, and said, “It is really disgraceful that those who attended the summit to invest in the State have fought for the gift articles. What is more ironical is that Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) have been signed without using any papers.”

TDP Lokesh said that between 2014-2019, Chandrababu has set up many industries in all the districts. Lokesh said that Minister Mekapati Gautham Reddy on behalf of the YCP government gave an answer in the assembly about the industries set up by TDP district wise in AP between 2014-19, out of which 39,450 industries were brought between 2014-19 and 5,13,350 jobs were provided through them.

He said that Kia, Berger Paints and Jockey industries were brought to Anantapur district during TDP regime and Well Spun Company was brought to Kadapa. Many manufacturing companies have been brought to Chittoor, including TCL, Foxconn, Cellcon, Micromax, Foxconn and Dixon. He said that cement companies and solar production centers have been brought to Kurnool.

Hundreds of industries like Nellore Heromotors, Sujala, Prakasam Asian Paper Mills, Apollo Tires, Guntur, Ashok Leyland, KCP, HCL, Ubhayagodavari, many fisheries industries and pharma companies have been brought to Krishna. Many IT industries in Visakha, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts, contract with Adani Data Center, big companies like Lulu, Franklin Templeton, Congiant, Asian Paints have been brought.

 Nara Lokesh added that during the TDP regime, 31 %  of the jobs in the private sector went to Rayalaseema and 23 % to Uttar Andhra. He said that when Chandrababu Naidu was the CM, AP received Rs.19,500 crore more FDI than Telangana and unemployment decreased to 3.5 percent.
