Baahubali director SS Rajamouli had recently announced that he had roped in the British actress Daisy Edgar Jones as one of the female leads in his upcoming film RRR. Unfortunately, she is no longer part of the movie. Recently the makers made official announcement that she has walked out from RRR. Now the hunt for the female lead has been started. According to the latest buzz in the film industry, the makers of RRR has approached Mallu girl Nithya Menen and offered a role. As Nithya Menen is very happy with her character has given her verbal consent.
The sources close to RRR film unit reveal that SS Rajamouli is currently looking out for a foreign actress to replace Daisy Edgar Jones. He also approached Nithya Menen recently for the film and asked her to give a screen test. Apparently, even Nithya has agreed for it. but it is not yet clear whether she will play the female lead or crucial role.
According to Rajamouli, RRR will be a fictional story on the lives of Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem. Young Tiger Jr NTR will essay the role of Komaram Bheem whereas Ram Charan will be seen as Alluri Sitarama Raju. Besides Jr NTR and Ram Charan, RRR also has other stars like Ajay Devgn, Samuthirakani and Alia Bhatt.
RRR, which has a massive budget of Rs 300 cr, will be released on 30th July 2020 in ten languages.
Nithya Menen made her Telugu debut with Ala Modalaindi in 2011. Her popular Telugu movies are Okkadine, Jabardasth, Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde, Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju, Rajadhi Raja, Okka Ammayi Thappa, Geetha Govindam. In Tollywood, Nithya Menen was last seen in NTR Kathanayakudu in which she played the cameo.
