We have seen theaters shutting down for a period of over 15 days now and it going to continue for another 13 days. As per the current information theaters are going to re open from April 14th but circumstances might change then. Positive cases of Corona are currently increasing now and the situation might go out of hands. We don’t know yet. We just hope that doesn’t happen. For this the governments are asking not to step out of the house.
From March second week there are no theaters running and every development from movies came to stand still. Even if from April 14th, theaters re open, situation will be such that people will not come to theaters immediately. Distributors and exhibitors are thinking on the same lines. Even producers felt the same. Audience will take time to feel for entertainment again.
So Producers might think twice to release their movies in April month. From March 25th to April 9th many movies got scheduled and they will be given the first priority for release. V, Nishabdam, Uppena, Aranya, Red are some of the movies that got postponed. They will be now given first priority. V might release in the last week of April or May first week.
