 No prosthetic for SamanthaSamantha Akkineni is currently busy in her upcoming women centric Telugu movie, the remake of South Korean movie Miss Granny, which is progressing at brisk pace in the direction of Nandini Reddy.  The upcoming drama has been titled as O Baby Yentha Sakkagunnave and recently the makers have wrapped up the first schedule in Hyderabad.  Earlier it was heard that Samantha will be seen in two roles – as 20 years young lady and 70 years old woman. Now according to the latest update Nandini Reddy has decided to not use prosthetic for Samantha and she has bought another veteran actress Lakshmi on the board to play the role of old Samantha.

The sources close to O Baby Yentha Sakkagunnave team reveal that  the makers have decided not to showcase Samantha as a 70-year-old. Although the team had planned to use prosthetics to transform Samantha as an old lady, but director Nandini Reddy finally decided to stick to the original version and approached veteran actress Lakshmi for the role.

O Baby Yentha Sakkagunnave is being bankrolled by Veteran producer Suresh Babu in association with Sunitha Tati of Guru Films. Naga Shaurya is the male lead in the film. Lakshmi and Rajendra Prasad will be seen in key roles.

‘Miss Granny’ is a South Korean movie which tells the story of a 70-year-old woman who magically turns into a 20-year-old, after going into a mysterious photo studio. The movie was already remade in so many other languages and now director Nandini Reddy is making this movie with Samantha.

 Currently Samantha Akkineni  has 2 more films in her kitty namely Super Deluxe and Majili. She has already wrapped up the shoot of Super Deluxe and is waiting for the release of the film. In Majili, Samantha will be seen sharing the screen space with her hubby Naga Chaitanya.
