Boney Kappor is a popular name in Bollywood and South Indian film Industry. According to the latest report, he was duped by an unidentified person who fraudulently carried transactions from the film producer’s credit card totaling Rs 3.82 lakh. An aide close to Boney Kapoor filed a complaint against the alleged fraudster.
Boney Kapoor found out about the fraud when an executive from his bank called up for credit card bill payment on 30th March.
A Senior Police Inspector Bandopant Bansode of the Amboli police station revealed that Kapoor has stated in his complaint that several transactions were made from his credit card without his consent or knowledge, collectively amounting to Rs 3.84 lakh.
The police official added that the unidentified person has used the credit card to carry out 5 online transactions on 9th February by obtaining Boney Kapoor’s details and password.
Boney Kapoor is the elder brother of actor-producers Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor and the father of film actors Arjun Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor. He is also one of the producers of Power Star Pawan Kalyan starrer Vakeel Saab which was helmed by Venu Sriram and produced by Dil Raju and Sirish under Sri Venkateswara Creations in association with Bayview Projects.
