There is a huge air of uncertainty in the West Bengal on the ongoing issue of NRC. On to this issue, Mamata urged everyone to have faith in her as she will never NRC to be implemented in the state. Mamata said, “Shame on BJP for creating panic over NRC, it led to six deaths in Bengal”.
She further slammed the saffron party for its weird moves in implementing the NRC in the West Bengal state. Mamata spoke her mind as democracy prevails in Bengal and further added saying, but it is under the threat in several parts of the country. Banerjee reminded the incident that happened at Jadavpur University involving Union Minister Babul Supriyo. On speaking to this she said, “We have seen what they (ABVP, BJP) did at Jadavpur University, they want to wield power everywhere.”
