Today on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and legendary actor Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao– NTR’ death, his grandsons – Young Tiger Jr NTR and Kalyan Ram visited the NTR Ghat in Hyderabad in the early hours of Wednesday and they pay tributes to the legendary actor and their grand father. Jr NTR and Kalyan Ram paid floral tributes to NTR.
TDP followers raised CM slogans while Jr NTR offering tributes to NTR. The reports are coming that the TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu will pay tributes to NTR at the TDP Central office today and TDP leaders organizing several social services today.
Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao was a trailblazing figure in Tollywood and has starred in over 300 movies. He was lovingly referred to as Viswa Vikhyatha Nata Sarwa Bhouma and has taken away myriad accolades including three National Film Awards for his projects like Seetharama Kalyanam, Thodu Dongalu, as well as Varakatnam.
He was born in Nimmakuru, a small village in Gudivada of Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh on 28th May, 1923. He made his big-screen appearance in t 1949 film Mana Desam, while his last appearance was Srinatha KaviSarvabhowmudu. For his brilliant performances, he was bestowed with 3 National Film Awards, 2 Rashtrapati Awards, 1 Nandi Award and one Filmfare Award.
Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao passed away on January 18, 1996.
