In order to replace the name of NTR Health University as YSR Health University in Tirupati, the Andhra Pradesh government has has introduced the Bill in the Assembly today. YSRCP has an absolute majority in the state Assembly and will easily get the Bill passed.
The Health university was named after NT Ramarao, who was the founder as well as the first chairman of the university. As the YSR government did not institute any medical college during its rule till now, the YSRCP government now wants to name it after YSR. The ex-government TDP did not go after Kadapa district or IIIT in Idupulapaya which were named after YSR. In spite of the sturdy political issues between the late YSR and Jagan, Naidu did not change the names.
Then on, the chief minister has set an exemplar and there is a threat that there will be stress on Naidu to replace the name of YSR Kadapa district when TDP comes to reigns.
