NTR Mahanayakudu was one of the most awaited movie of Telugu Film Industry. Finally the movie has hit the theaters today on 22nd February 2019 in a very grand manner. Nandamuri Balakrishna is playing the role of his father Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao whereas Vidya Balan is playing NTR’s first wife Basavatarakam. Let’s see the story line of NTR Mahanayakudu.
Story: The second part on NTR biopic- NTR Mahanayakudu is about Basavatarakam, the wife of NTR who has been suffering from cancer and about political life of NTR. The movie starts with childhood memories of NTR and ends with NTR retaking power and death of Basavatarakam.

Performance: Once again Nandamuri Balakrishna has delivered his top notch performance in the role of his father NT Rama Rao. He has suited perfectly in the role of his father. Bollywood actress Vidya Balan is a delight to watch. She gets the role of Basavatarakam right. Vidya Balan, is quite convincing and delivers a brilliant performance in the film. Kalyan Ram as Nandamuri Harikrishna also impresses. Sachin Khedekar is fine. Rana Daggubati as Nara Chandra Babu Naidu is good. Supriya Vinod is ok. Vennela Kishore, Bharat Reddy, Daggubati Raja, and others performed accordingly. The movie has many known actors in important roles and everyone did their bit.
Technical: Krish’s work is very impressive in bringing the political life of Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao on to screen. However, the politics also gives way for the emotional family drama involving the husband and the wife angle. Editing is ok. Cinematography is good. M M Keeravani provides decent Background score. Production values are neat. Dialogues by Sai Madhav Burra are at places. Production design is clap worthy. Production values are splendid.
Analysis: Krish should have to work on a screenplay. The scene that showcases the rift between Nadendla Bhaskara Rao and NTR came out very well. The First half of NTR Mahanayakudu starts with NTR’s political entry, ends at when he was dethroned from Chief Minister post by Nadendla Bhaskara Rao. The scenes featuring NTR’s political journey and his personal life pave the way to an intense and emotional second half. The movie ends with NTR retaking the power. NTR Mahanayakudu is a treat to Nandamuri fans.
