NTR biopic– NTR Kathanayakudu is the dream project of Nandamuri Balakrishna and it is gearing for grand release on 9th January 2019. According to the latest buzz in the film industry, NTR Kathanayakudu, the biopic is about NTR through his wife’s eyes. Vidya Balan is playing the role of NTR’s first wife Basavatarakam.
In May 1943, at the age of 20, while still pursuing his Intermediate, NTR married BasavaTarakam, the daughter of his maternal uncle. The couple had eight sons and four daughters. Basavatarakam was a pillar of strength to NTR, she was always in the shadows. A simple woman, she was said to run a tight ship at home even when NTR was busy juggling the films and politics. She first conceived when NTR used to work as a Sub-Registrar in Guntur.
Prasanna Kumar, the General Secretary, Telugu Producers Council and a close family aide of NTR’s family revealed that Basavatarakam had to brave many storms and didn’t have it easy. She raised all the kids in a systematic way. She used to cook and send the food to NTR on the sets. In 1985, when Basavatarakam died of cancer, NTR established the Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital in Hyderabad in 1986. In 1993, NTR married Lakshmi Parvathi, a Telugu writer again at the age of seventy. Later he was thrown out from his own party. The makers of NTR biopic are not going to show the last stage of NTR. The sources say that the whole story of NTR biopic is NTR’s wife Basava Tarakam’s point of view.
NTR Kathanayakudu will end with the episode where NTR comes back to power against Nadendla. So it is all about the relationship between NTR and his wife Basavatarakam.
NTR biopic is directed by Krish and is jointly bankrolled by Balakrishna, Sai Korrapati, Vishnu Induri under NBK Films, Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram, and Vibri Media banner.
