Ponniyin Selvan Box office collections : The newest worldwide box office smash is the historical epic Ponniyin Selvan 1 or Ponniyin Selvan Part 1, which was helmed by Mani Ratnam. Even in its third week, the movie Ponniyin Selvan, which also stars Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karthi, and Trisha Krishnan, manages to draw sizable crowds to theatres.
According to the latest report, Mani Ratnam’ magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan has crossed Rs 450+ cr marks at the worldwide box office. For those who are unaware, the movie Ponniyin Selvan broke another milestone at the box office by becoming the first Kollywood film to gross more than Rs 200 crore in Tamil Nadu.
It has already become the 2nd highest-grossing Tamil movie worldwide after it crossed the lifetime earnings of Kamal Haasan starrer Vikram at the global box office.
The trade sources report that Ponniyin Selvan has crossed had a worldwide gross of Rs 455 cr , including a remarkable Rs 161 crore from just foreign markets and it has beaten Brahmastra, helmed by Ayan Mukerji that made Rs 431 crore globally, while Vikram starring Kamal Haasan, has earned Rs 443 crore.
