We have already reported that Sandeep Reddy Vanaga is helming an action drama Animal in which Rashmika Mandanna will play the female lead. Today morning on the occasion of Ugadi, Sandeep Reddy Vanga welcomed Rashmika Mandanna to the world of Animal to play Geetanjali and in this film she will be seen sharing the screen space with Ranbir Kapoor.
A directorial venture of Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the action crime drama also stars Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol. Earlier B town actress Parineeti Chopra was on the board to play the female lead in Animal but she walked out from the project. Now, the makers of the film have announced the new female lead as Rashmika Mandanna. The shoot will commence this summer as the release date stands to be 11th August, 2023, for now. The sources say that the makers are feeling that Ranbir and Rashmika will set the screen on fire with their chemistry in Animal.
Earlier during an interview, Ranbir Kapoor had said, “During the Coronavirus pandemic, we all got some time to introspect and choose the movies that are close to our hearts. So when Sandeep Reddy Vanga narrated the story, I grew close to the character and was immediately keen on doing the character.”
