Katamarayudu is a Telugu movie in which Power star Pawan Kalyan and Shruthi Haasan played the lead role and it was directed by Kishore Kumar Pardasani. The movie is being remade in Bollywood. Earlier Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal was on the board to play the lead role in upcoming movie Land of Lungi, the remake of Katamarayudu but now he has walked away from the project.
After delivering successful movie Uri: The Surgical Strike, Vicky Kaushal has become one of the most sought after faces in Bollywood and has several highly-anticipated movies in his kitty. Now it is being heard that Vicky Kaushal has rejected Farhad Samji’s upcoming film Land Of Lungi, citing date issues.
The sources say that before Vicky Kaushal, 2.0 villain Akshay Kumar was approached for the role but due to date issues even he couldn’t come on board. It was Akshay Kumar who had suggested the name of Vicky Kaushal to the makers after he could not be part of the film due to his busy shoot schedule.
On the work side, Vicky Kaushal will next be seen in Bhoot: The Haunted Ship, which is set to hit the theaters on 15th November, 2019. It is being helmed by debutante Bhanu Pratap Singh.
