The nominations for the 95th Academy Awards/Oscars have been announced and now there is a good news for the movie lovers as SS Rajamouli’ magnum opus, RRR has been nominated for an Oscar (one of three nods for Indian cinema) – Best Original Song for Naatu Naatu which also won Golden Globe in the same category. Not only RRR, All That Breathes and The Elephant Whisperers have also secured the Oscar nominations.
RRR’ song Naatu Naatu will compete against four other nominated songs – Lady Gaga’s Hold My Hand from Top Gun: Maverick, Applause from Tell It Like A Woman, Rihanna’s Lift Me Up from film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and This Is A Life from the movie Everything Everywhere All At Once.

India’s official Oscar entry, Chhello Show or Last Picture Show, was left out of final slate in the Best International Feature Film category.
The nominations for 95th Academy Awards/Oscars were announced by Riz Ahmed and Alison Williams. The award show will be held in Los Angeles on 12th March. Jimmy Kimmel will host for 3rd time.
