Historical dramas have always fascinated Indian Cinema. SS Rajamouli’s historic and war drama Baahubali:The Beginning and Baahubali 2:The Conclusion starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannah Bhatia, Anushka Shetty and Ramya Krishna, took the Indian box office by heavy storm. Now director Ashutosh Gowariker, who is known for his penchant for picking up interesting chapters of history and bringing them to life on the silver screen is coming up with his next project ‘Panipat : The Great Betrayal’.
Ashutosh Gowariker who is known for his mega-budget projects like Oscar-nominated Lagaan starring Aamir Khan& Gracy Singh, periodic drama Jodha Akbar starring Hrithik Roshan & Aishwarya Rai, Mohenjo Daro starring Hrithik & Pooja Hegde, is now all set to recreate one of the most noteworthy battles of the 18th century – the Third Battle of Panipat in his historic drama ‘Panipat.’
Today morning the makers released the first look teaser poster which reveals that the high-octane action revolves around the events that led to the third Battle of Panipat. The poster showcases a sword held firmly by a brave and courageous hand. Arjun Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Kriti Sanon are on the board to play the lead role in this film which is going to be high on action. The film will be produced by Sunita Gowariker, under their home banner AGPPL in association with Rohit Shelatkar’s production company VISION WORLD.
It looks like Bollywood is planning to break the records of Baahubali which was directed by a Telugu filmmaker.
Panipat is scheduled to hit the theaters on 6th December 2019.
