Power Star Pawan Kalyan has already given his green signal for the remake of the Hindi film Pink which starred Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu in important roles. Pawan Kalyan will be reprising Amitabh Bachan’s role from the original and has allotted a 20-day call sheet for it. Director Sriram Venu is on the board to helm this remake. It has also come out that Pawan Kalyan has given his green signal to Krish Jagarlamudi too for an upcoming film. The sources say that Pawan Kalyan has not just been in touch with National award winning director Krish but the duo even went for a look test recently. Very soon the official announcement will be made regarding the look test of Pawan Kalyan for Krish’ directorial venture.
The sources added that director Krish has prepared a story that is a period drama set in the pre-Independence era and Pawan Kalyan will play Robinhood kind of role, helping the poor. If everything will go accordingly, shooting for Krish- Pawan Kalyan’ film will start in the coming months. It is being heard that Krish is planning to rope Pooja Hegde in this film.
Krish has already narrated the script to Pooja hegde, who is keen to play versatile roles that showcase her in a new light but she is yet to sign the project.
Krish Jagarlamudi’ previous offering in Tollywood was the biopic of late actor-turned-politician NT Rama Rao which was released in two parts as NTR Kathanayakudu and NTR Mahanayakudu, in which Nandamuri Balakrishna played the lead roles.
Pawan Kalyan starrer Pink remake will be bankrolled jointly by Boney Kapoor and Dil Raju, they are planning to release the movie in the summer. Nivetha Thomas has been confirmed as part of the cast. She may be reprising the role done by Taapsee Pannu from the original.
